Wolfach Castle, Germany

Wolfacher Schloss is one of the largest castles in central Baden with its 110-meter-long façade. Its origin probably goes back to the time around 1180. From 1671 to 1681 it was given its present form under Landgrave Maximilian Franz von Fürstenberg. At that time u. a. the magnificent portal at the entrance of the large courtyard. After the early death of the builder, the shell in the shell was not completed according to the original plans, but expanded to simple offices for the count officials. Even today, it is mostly home to administrative offices of county and state authorities. The castle hall in the right wing is used for events.
