How did the fire brigade extinguish a fire around 1900 with the technical possibilities of the time? And how has the fire department developed? You can see that in the fire department museum Hausach. The fire department museum of the volunteer fire department Hausach is housed in two buildings. While the Feuerwehrgerätehaus offers insights into the work of the Hausacher fire brigade since its foundation in 1892, the Furhpark is housed in the stadium hall with its historic vehicles and syringes. Around 200 years of fire extinguishing can be seen here. A photo gallery and the historical documents bear witness to this. Underground hydrant of 1935, 1936 Volksgas mask, suction hose coupling of 1890, spire, hose hanger and door handles of the old fire brigade, the development of wood, tin and jute pails used in fire extinguishers, use and dress uniforms, old ones Fire helmets, lighting equipment and the development of the alarm receiver and tools - all this can be seen in the Fire Brigade Museum. It also remains exciting in the second part of the museum, in the stadium hall at Tannenwald. There the wagons and vehicles are housed. Still fully functional: no matter if the 1922 engine sprayer with a drawbar for steeds or vehicles, the Einbacher Hydrophor-Fahrspritze built in 1911, or the 1901 suction and pressure piston driving syringe. The oldest displayed syringes are the portable crutch syringe from 1850 and the Abrotzspritze built in 1860. A hydrant wagon from 1918 can be admired and of course the fire engine LF15 / TS, with which even today exits are made.
