Our ski resort is suitable for beginners, advanced skiers like Cracks. At our approx. 70 m long rope lift, "bloody beginners" can safely stand on skis a. Learn snowboards. If the "standing still" on the boards during the uphill transport dominated, you can switch to our so-called Lift 3 (about 350 m in length). At the lift 3 the downhill can be practiced in the flat terrain. The downhill section of the lift 4 (about 400 m in length) contains a short steeper track u. runs flat over the slope 3. The approximately 900 m long lifts 1 u. 2 lead up to 1000 m above sea level up to 36 degrees of incline. In these slopes 1 u. 2 also feel high alpine skiing u. Snowboarder well.
The milder winters and difficult weather conditions since the end of the 80s did not allow for a sufficient result despite snow technology.
The current shareholders, KBB Kern Gesellschaft für Beteiligungen in der Bauzulieferindustrie mbH & Co. and the managing partner, lawyer Andreas Kern, therefore decided in 2001 to create a year-round rail-operated all-weather bobsled run.
In order to implement this measure, an EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) with integrated impact assessment was required in view of the protective purpose and conservation objective of a "bird of prey" suburb. The nature conservation investigations and official examination allowed the implementation of the project. Through tourist use of a contaminated area, directly adjacent sensitive areas could be preserved in terms of nature conservation.
The Mehliskopf Bob is a recreational sports facility. The railway has a total length of 1,013 m. It is driven by gravity on an inclined track with an average gradient of 8%. The user himself determines the driving speed by means of individually operated brakes. In addition to eleven steep curves and several jumps (vertical curves) are installed. The rail formed by the rails is installed above the ground. The anchoring in the ground is done by steel claws, which are secured by means of pegs. The sledges are constituted for two persons sitting one behind the other. On both sides of the body synchronously acting brake levers are mounted, which are operated by the rear seated passenger. During the journey passengers are strapped in with safety belts. In rain, the web is much faster. So that you can still experience untroubled driving pleasure, we keep rain covers ready for you. In 2013, the bobsleigh track was extended by two more steep turns and a 360 ° gyro at 1,300 m.
The construction of the year-round bobsled run was the right economic decision to get away from the pure season operation. In order to achieve at least a balanced result, however, it still requires significant winter sales.
In 2002, the gastronomy pavilion with wood-glass construction, in 2003 the outdoor area, open terraces and a children's playground were created.
The variability of winter sales, which are difficult to calculate, forced the operator to examine and record further attractions during the year.
The administration requested the preparation of a project-related development plan. A concept developed in 2004 for the development of Mehliskopf culminated in a project-related development plan for the entire area at Mehliskopf, which became legally binding in 2006. The EIA, which was once again necessary in this procedure, with an integrated impact assessment on the protection purpose and conservation objective of the bird sanctuary, also found a compatibility. Once again, touristic use on pre-contaminated areas and adjoining sensitive nature conservation areas were upgraded through compensatory measures.
The procedural public-law regulations were barely finished, and in the summer of 2006 the first construction phase of the Adventure Climbing Garden was opened. The Adventure Climbing Garden is a tourist-oriented climbing garden designed to allow anyone aged 6 years and over who has no illness, mental or physical disability to discover the world of ropes, beams, bridges, nets and cable cars.
The first two lighter parcoures are equipped with a continuous safety system. These parcours with a total of 21 tasks are located at a height between 3 to 5 m. The three medium-sized Parcoure with 32 tasks, up to a height of 14 m may be used by children from 8 years and a minimum size of 130 cm, with a maximum of 2 children under 12 years of an adult to accompany.
In 2007, the 2nd construction phase of the climbing garden was put into operation. The two heavy parcours with a further 21 tasks are more challenging in terms of climbing and are only released from the age of 16 years.
At the bottom of the Adventure Climbing Garden, an information trail has been created, which points to the sensitive environment of the Black Forest Heights and other attractions of the region. To be supplemented is a barefoot path paired with sensory elements.

At that time was also an adventure forest playground with Wasserspiellandschaft, tree house, Tarzan Bridge, Wendelrutsche, cable car and climbing roots. At low-wire elements skeptical parents can try out with their little ones, if they want to climb further spheres.
In the spring of 2009, a downhill course has been created between the lifts on the main site, so that you are transported with special vehicles so-called downhill carts with lift No. 4 about 400 m uphill to then on a predetermined downhill route about 600 m gravitationally accelerated downhill.
In addition, a year-round toboggan slope between Lift 4 and the bobsleigh run is planned in order to be able to offer summer as well as winter tubing in the future.
