The Gallery of the City of Tuttlingen can be seen as a podium for artists of the region as well as a shop window for general trends in contemporary art. The exhibition tradition began in 1973 with the first initiatives of the Tuttlingen art circle. Since 1987, the gallery has been placed in Günther Hermann's specially designed building. The Kunstkreis and the city of Tuttlingen organize nine exhibitions a year - eight individual exhibitions by contemporary artists as well as the annual exhibition, which presents a cross-section of the artistic work in Tuttlingen and the surrounding area at the end of the year.
