The 360-degree panorama, part of the virtual tour through the Black Forest, was built on the observation platform of the tower. In 1127 it was first mentioned in documents, it was Fürstenbergisches fief from 1409 and came into Würzburg possession in 1445. It was probably destroyed around 1525 in the course of the peasant war, since it is already depicted as a ruin on the Rottweiler Pürschgerichtkarte (map of 1564). The Bergfried is almost completely preserved from the former castle. There are also extensive remains of the Ringmauer and the Ringgraben. Every year in July the so-called Burgspektakel with cultural events of various kinds takes place on the ruins.
