This 360 degree aerial view was taken above the church Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de Las Mercedes. Ciudad Colonial is the historic central neighborhood of Santo Domingo and the oldest permanent European settlement of the New World. After the new motorway to the Punta Cana Region was finished the Ciudad Colonial have been totally renovated and is now one of the major touristic attraction of the country. It has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
