The Upper Town was protected by guard wall, with two platforms, with an roughly height of 10 m, sustained by massive brackets boosted by flying buttresses on the buildings of the Lower Town, many of them having 6 centuries of age. The two walls meet in the superior side of the passage. The four houses ranged along this passage, at no. 1-4, were raised during the 15th and 16th century, modified in the 18th century and rehabilitated in 1860.
