The historical fountain is located on the church square in the center of Hornberg and was created in 1989. The more than 900-year-old story is clearly illustrated to the viewer on the basis of twelve important events.
The fountain should be an invitation to reflect and to deal with the eventful past of the city Hornberg.
He recalls, for example, the founding of the rule of Hornberg in the 11th century, "The Hornberg shooting", two bombing raids that hit Hornberg in World War II, the incorporation of the communities Niederwasser and Reichenbach, etc.
The fountain was designed by city master builder Willy Heine, the reliefs were created by sculptor Armin Göhringer from Zell am Harmersbach.
