Playa Grande is located at the north coast of the Dominican Republic in a beautiful area of lush vegetation enriched by a changing palette of green and blue, rolling hills and the Atlantic Ocean. To the west lies the town of Cabarete, one of the world’s top rated wind-surfing and kite-boarding destinations, and to the east, Samana, a natural deep water port famous for the humpback whales that roam its warm Caribbean waters in the winter. Playa Grande beach is 1,600 meters of soft, white sand. But the high surf is not child-friendly. Playa Grande is a beach for trained swimmers.
