Around 1360, the church "to St. Catherine" was built and at 1365 consecrated. It is an intact extant work of the High Gothic. A particular gem is the coppersmith altar. The only remaining wing altar of the district was built between 1513 - 1515 and is among the first plants Lower Bavarian carving of the period. Since its restoration in 1950, it serves as a war memorial church. In memory of the fallen of World War II in the old fire guard room of the tower, a carillon was constructed, which is heard daily at 11.00 and at 17.00 clock.
