The Jochstub'n lake is surrounded by the ski world's Wilder Kaiser - Brixental (between Brixen im Thale and Scheffau).
Reachable from the mountain station Gondola Scheffau "Brandstadlbahn", about 35 min walk, or mountain station of the funicular Ellmau "Hartkaiserbahn" on Panorama about 60 min, and the mountain station Brixen gondola "Hochbrixen" over the big and small Holzalm about 90 minutes.
Hikers on the Panorama cozy for the hard to Ellmau Emperor, the Emperor trail, the Marmot trail and the road to romantic Jochstub'nsee are recommended.
