Come with us and take a virtual walk through the exhibition of 2015 at the Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Resort. This year the fourth annual Discover Puerto Plata Market Place tourism fair will highlight the many possibilities the region offers in adventure tourism.
The event, scheduled from October 7-9, will be held at the Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Resort, situated 10 minutes from downtown Puerto Plata, the north coast’s most important tourism destination. The event will coincide with the arrival of the Victory Cruise Ship, on October 6, which will be the official launching of Carnival Cruise Lines operations at Amber Cove, the region’s new cruise ship port. Fair organizers explained that this year’s event will also promote adventure tourism in some of the country’s most beautiful regions, specifically in Santiago – the D.R.’s second largest city – and mountain destinations such as Constanza and Jarabacoa.
Other important destinations highlighted will be the northwest town of Montecristi and Rio San Juan, on the northeast region. The event is organized by the Tourism Cluster of Puerto Plata, with support from the Ministry of Tourism.
