A garden interested in all medicinal herbs. The pharmacy garden is located near the center of Ettlingen. Whom it is interested to know there is whitethorn, artichoke or elderberry and how it is applied medically. The 400-square-meter area is home to around 200 different medicinal plants and, like the neighboring Rosengarten, was built during the 1988 National Garden Show. The concept is quite simple: following the Paracelsus doctrine of signification, a walnut tree symbolizes the head of the garden and at the same time that of a man. We continue with Da Vincis human image, which is conceptually drawn through the entire garden. Suitable for each body region, plants were selected which can alleviate the symptoms of the respective region. In the center of the garden, a fountain quietly ripples. Visits are worth every season.
